The enVironmental Impact on Birth Equity (VIBE) Research Lab is based within the Department of Epidemiology at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. The VIBE Research Lab uses a public health equity lens to study maternal and child inequities. Researchers in the VIBE Lab employ diverse and innovative methodological approaches that allow us to leverage research in the service of health equity.

We are committed to engaging and partnering with advocates and community-based organizations outside of traditional academic research settings, using our research to implement policy and structural change, and mentoring and developing public health and social science scholars.
